Was There a UFO In Meriden?
File this under fascinating. Fireworks may not have been the only thing lighting up the night sky at the July 4th Fireworks display in the town of Meriden last week. Several eyewitnesses claim that they saw what can only be described as a U.F.O.
The firework festivities were held in Meriden's Hubbard Park, on July 3rd, and other witnesses posting to YouTube claim they saw a similar "UFO" in Indiana the next night.
Another person describes the Unidentified Flying Object as looking "like a plane on fire".

It is now 922 p.m., just saw another one of these passing through Wallingford past New Haven.
When Wallingford had their fireworks that Saturday, there were 3 of these objects that passed.
Tonight, August 5, 2007 around 910 p.m., only one has gone by and I had my Steiner Binos and focused in on it and still could not make it out.
Anything or any information on what the heck this is would be great.
I am in the military, served in Iraq and seen many things, but nothing like this.

So glad to see your blog. My husband & i haven seen these objects 4 times. And I know someone who saw it last night, 9/12/07 while he was on Cook av. He is a former air forcce pilot for 28 yrs. He couldn't identify it but said for sure it wasn't a plane It has been traveling south to north.

Did anyone see this same object in the sky on 7/4/2009? I was at a friend's house in Meriden. I'm not sure what time, but I think it was between 9:30 and 10:30 pm after some of the local fireworks shows. I have a grainy cell phone video of it. In the video it just looks like a little dot or plane. In person, it certainly didn't look like a plane. I have been fascinated by UFOs my entire life, but this was my first experience seeing something like this.
Wow, I am from Midland, Michigan and just today on July 10th at around 10:00 pm we saw something that looked just like this picture. Me, my brother, my mom, and two friends all saw this. The only difference was that we also saw a mysterious black spot that stayed the same distance away from the orange part, but seemed to rotate it a few times. Also there was another orange spot that was clearly the same as the other one that briefly we could see, but disapeared. It was almost undescribable the fealing we had because we had never seen anything like this. It is amazing that you have a picture of this to prove we are not the only ones to see something like this.
8:22 pm December 17th 2009 Meriden,Ct My mother and her best friend were coming home from dance class and as they were passing near a chefs hat, pizza restuarnt in meriden. They have seen a big dipper like formation of BAM bright red dots in the sky they tried taking photos but they wouldnt show up on phone , there was about 15 lights half were in formation half were in a circle formation in a group for about a minuet They floated off toward middletown / east wallingford apparently they must be attracted by fireworks seen on the ground also seen by my mother and friend.
We have seen many other Ufo since we live on a hill but not definite, it surely scared my daughter
